Architect Tuomas Toivonen’s professional career as an artist, performer, DJ and journalist spans over a decade of constant activity and output. His work investigates the suggestive and communicational potential of music and voice. The lyrics are compact observations and analyses, and read like spoken diagrams, narrative perspectives, or musical manifestos.
His new record-book is called 'URBANISM IN THE HOUSE'. This release is a cross over in-between architectural ideals and house music. The music is a support for a series of architectural lectures Tuomas Toivonen has given in Universities and Art institutions in China, Japan, UK, France, Spain in spaces like the Victoria & Albert Museum (UK), the Institute of Contemporary Art (UK), etc. It is financed by the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, released by NOW and will be distributed by the legendary domestic house music label Keys Of Life. The record-Book (a 12" vinyl) is designed as an alternative city (attached), an unbuilt Helsinki constructed from models of unrealised projects from the archive of the Museum of Finnish Architecture.

Martti Kalliala & Ville Haimala are Renaissance Man In late 2008, the pair decided to change the dynamic and unleash their own creations on an unsuspecting world, trawling the aural universe in search of sonic nuggets to pepper over their tracks. Debut Spraycan was released on Switch’s Dubsided in early 2009, followed by Rhythm on the Kitsuné Maison 7 compilation. A subsequent EP on Parisian label Sound Pellegrino launched title track What Is Guru as one of the year’s underground hits, making Renaissance Man highly sought-after remixers for the likes of Brodinski, Crystal Fighters, Health, Le Corps Mince de Françoise… Original tracks and remixes have seen support from fellow DJ’s including Luciano, Martyn, Claude Von Stroke, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Jesse Rose, Diplo…
