    Yes.

There is no such a horrible place in wider looking/understanding. In the point view of sustainable for human life in the sense of humanity.

But off course, several points for view exists.

Finland was a beautiful place until around 1950's . Both by nature and human made culture. Then they turned ugly - seriously. With architechture especially. And havent returned from that regression. It is not considered as a form of culture here. And if it is, it's not valuated.

Especially when we deal with anything more than 30-years then built. Even market square in Helsinki, is considered as a "threat" (only because of it's quite original appeareance) : regarding to local newspaper Helsingin Sanomat in its last weeks article.

If you enter to Finland over seas with a commuter ferry. One of the first places you may arrive is Jätkäsaari .

It is a modern part of a city of Helsinki, newly built residental area. It has its modern benefits with householding etc and with some modern things, but be aware of its uglyness. I may add some pictures here soon.

This could be one of your very first glimpse of Helsinki.

If you see this first. You won. It will not come worse in the surrounding areas.

If you continue from the ugly Jätkäsaari forwards to the city center by foot or bicycle you can do it actually via really nice road called Baana. It's a properly managed bicycle and pedestrian path wich leads you directly to the center. In the beginning of Baana, on the Jätkäsaari -side there is also some other recreation possibilities like table tennis, something else, and skating facilities.

But still.. look at this uglyness of the buildings. (Why they even are there?? [Somebody is anyway complaining about "disturbing noise of the skateboarders etc"].
